2024-11-17 - we're back, but were we ever gone
Dear reader and note to self,
Seems like neocities doesn't always update the website when expected. It seems like it took over a day for yesterday's post to appear - not sure if that's a bug on there end or not.
Luckily the stakes are low and this is all for fun.
What to say today?
A few things to document. That pesky lower-right molar cap fell out again - time to help the dentist buy a new guitar or whatever their hobby is.
Speaking of hobbies - I made an impulse purchase last week and bought a new synthesizer. The Korg Radias - which is/was the update form of the synth I've been using since high school, the MS 2000.
I made a promise to myself awhile back that if I ever saw it on sale for a certain price, I'd have to buy it. And lo, last weekend it was meant to be. I'll talk about it more some other time, as the weekend is drawing to an end and I'd like to settle down a bit away from the screen - I've been going at it hard and I really need a break.
I have to catch up on paper grading tomorrow - maybe I will try printing out the papers to see how that goes.
Let's see... there is a new venue in Athens set-up by the improv group, Flying Squid (I guess their pulling a UCB / Second City where the venue or theater is the same name as the troupe). I checked was there yesterday checking out a new band KIT - pretty chill indie pop. Jeff Weber plays guitar and synth in it, which is a bit coincidental, as he is the only other person I know who has every played with the Radias.
I'll get back on track with some content that might be more interesting to y'all, if you're even still here (I need to stop saying that)
